The term Snail mail was named after the snail that has really slow speed. Referring to letters being carried by conventional postal delivery. Also named after the 'snail trail' used to glue the envelope. Snail Mail is now known and used to describe conventional posting of mail as oppose to todays choice of mail, the internet.
